Azalea Maes, Owner & Creative Director
Azalea is an entrepreneur and philanthropist with over 15 years of experience in business development, marketing and event production. She has built an excellent reputation with her artistry, eye for design and impeccable attention to detail. Her genuine commitment to innovation in her field and making every event memorable has quickly made her one of San Diego's most sought-after floral designers and event planners.
Her philanthropic work is with various local organizations including H2O Trash Patrol, Military Monday by Oceanside Visitors Bureau & Vows from the Heart Ministries since 2015. She sits on the Board of Directors for Arete Sport Consulting, a non-profit organization focused on supporting youth sports programs. Azalea is also in the final stages of her own non-profit, The Petal Project which repurposes wedding and event floral for nursing homes and hospice patients.
Azalea was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM and moved to Oceanside in 2000. She left her corporate career in 2012 and officially launched Flowers by Azalea to satisfy her artistic passions and to make botanical artistry available in North County.
